WHO WE ARE
Yamicare
Is a registered, woman-led non-profit organization, assisting new moms in Ghana transition smoothly into motherhood by giving them free clothes, shoes, diapers, food, and other basic essentials needed to take care of their babies.

In the United States, oftentimes new mothers are given free diapers and pads, and clothes as well as food as starter kits to accelerate their childcare needs. This is a tremendous help to mothers who sometimes have to go back home with no one to help them. That is why Yamicare was born.
The founder is a nurse and a mother of two. A United state citizen originally from Ghana, she benefited from an arrangement like this and was moved to create something that a lot of mothers in Ghana will also benefit from. Yamicare is creating set-ups in hospitals, clinics, and villages that can receive donations in all forms which go solely towards the care of mothers and children.

When mothers receive these kinds of help, it enables them to better care for their children in the first few days and suicidal thoughts and child abandonment are reduced. But Yamicare can only assist them with the help of your kind donations.
